Bee-Line Bus strike averted

WESTCHESTER

A memorandum of understanding was signed by both sides at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

The four-year agreement is pending approval by transit union membership, which includes 572 Bee Line bus drivers and mechanics.

Both sides agreed to "stop the clock" when the previous contract expired, indicating an agreement was in the works.

The last strike in 2005 lasted seven weeks.
