Randi Ocharun grew in her mom's kitchen back in Thailand, gaining the skills that she needed to open a restaurant.

Ploi Thai is her second restaurant. It's located in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The food is a mix of dishes from Bankok and Northern Thailand from curries to noodles.

One of Randi's most popular dishes is the Chicken Pad Gra Pow or Chicken with Thai Basil.

In a wok, Randi sautés the chicken with garlic, soy sauce and oyster sauce. Bell peppers, onions and string beans are added, along with hot chilies and vegetable broth. The basil comes in at the very end and fried basil goes on top.

Maybe it will become your favorite as well. Learn more about Ploi Thai at
