Police chase in Westchester ends in crash in Rockland

ORANGETOWN

State police attempted to pull over the vehicle for reckless driving in Westchester County just before 11 p.m. Sunday. But police say the driver did not stop, and troopers chased the vehicle across the Tappan Zee Bridge.

The pursuit continued onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway to Route 303, where the driver lost control and flipped near Spruce Street in Orangetown.

The car came to a rest upside down in the shoulder of the roadway.

As many as five people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. None was seriously injured.

No troopers were injured.
