Officers found the victim while responding to a car accident at Horace Harding Expressway and Junction Boulevard in the /*Rego Park*/ section.
They found the driver, 32-year-old Tesfari Davis, inside his car with gunshot wounds to the neck and legs.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police believe Davis was shot outside an apartment building and tried to drive away before he crashed into another car.
