Creatures of Light exhibit at Museum of Natural History

NEW YORK

Adults will find the background information fascinating. There's information on what you didn't know about glow worms in the caves of New Zealand.

And in Puerto Rico, there's a bay filled with bioluminescent dinoflagellates.

Most bioluminescent creatures are found deep down in the ocean, like the flickering Flashlight Fish which often use their light to find food, and sometimes, to find a mate.

But you don't have to pull a James Cameron and head to the bottom of the sea to see things glow. You can just go to the exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History, or pay a little more attention to things in the dark.
