NYPD hunts for deli robbers who videotaped crime

NEW YORK

The men robbed the Bleeker Farm Deli in /*Greenwich Village*/ around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

One of the suspects wore a mask, but the other two were not hiding their faces. In fact, one of them was recording the crime. But they didn't realize a security camera inside the bodega was recording their every move.

Police released the surveillance video, hoping someone will recognize them. The two unmasked men both wore Yankees caps.

The victim, an employee who only speaks Spanish, spoke with Eyewitness News. He says the suspect demanded to know where the office was before hitting him in the back and taking his cell phone.

Police have not said what was taken during the robbery, but they are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects.
