Woman run over by vehicle in courthouse parking lot

CENTRAL ISLIP, New York

Moments after the incident you could see small splatters of blood on the car. Police say it all happened after a fight between a couple and the boyfriends ex, the mother of his child. It all went down after a tense custody hearing in /*Central Islip*/ Tuesday morning.

"The girl's feet were underneath the car. I've never seen anything like that in my life," Renaica Harris said.

Harris witnessed the 23-year-old victim, Saadia Taylor, being dragged underneath the car. She said a woman had just left family court with friends and family when four women pulled up In a car and jumped the woman.

"They were beating her up. They were jumping her and pulling her hair," she said.

Police say the four women were friends of the boyfriend's, 24-yaer-old Anthony Andrews', current girlfriend. They say the girlfriend, 22-year-old Renee Berry, got in a white car and ran into one of the ex-girlfriends friends, knocking her to the ground. According to police, the guy and girl in the car switched places, and then he gunned the vehicle and hit the woman again, police said.

"He was yelling at the top of his lungs, 'I didn't hit anybody, I didn't hit her' and the female voice was saying she jumped in front of the car," Shanequa Seymour said.

While that is all happening, Harris and another witness used their cars to block in the Andrews' car not wanting him to get away.

The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The witnesses say Andrews yelled at Taylor, "You knew this was going to happen."

Both suspects are charged with assault and reckless endangerment.
