Dog rescued from Jersey City apartment building fire

JERSEY CITY

Smoke filled the neighborhood as firefighters battled the third-alarm blaze on Grant Street for more than two hours before putting out the flames.

Everyone got out, except a dog named zeus.

Firefighters were able to rescue the 4-year-old pooch and give him oxygen. He is expected to survive.

The cause of the fire, which started around 1 a.m., is under investigation.
