Parents of missing Indiana student giving up hope

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.

/*Lauren Spierer*/'s parents have returned to Bloomington from their Greenburgh home in the final weeks of IU's spring semester. The Journal News reports that Charlene Spierer had tears well up in her eyes as she said in an interview that she no longer believes her daughter is alive.

Robert Spierer says they're trying to be realistic that their daughter would have contacted them if she could.

He says it is frustrating to continue facing the same unanswered questions since 20-year-old Lauren disappeared early June 3 after a night of partying with friends in downtown Bloomington.
