Australians help fuel New York City tourism

New York City tourism is getting a major boost from down under.

Australians are moving up the list of tourists who love New York the most.

They stay longer than most foreigners and they spend about $2,700 more.

That's about $300 a day.

Officials say about 533,000 Australian tourists visited the city last year.
