Cafe in Brooklyn offers free coffee tastings

Figuring out what kind of coffee you like isn't just about drinking it, there is a lot of sniffing involved, too. A cafe in Brooklyn is offering free classes to help shape your coffee palate.

At a "public cupping" at Toby's Estate in Williamsburg, Dan Griffin teaches people how to break the crust, and allow even more of an aroma to escape from your cup of coffee.

First you sip ? or then, slurp and spit. You do these several times as the coffee cools to room temperature while taking notes along the way.

Toby Smith founded Toby's Estate in Australia, and thinks a little education can go a long way. Apparently there is a lot to learn.

So, before you order that next cup maybe you should take some time to stop, sniff and sip first.
