Suspect sought in subway robbery

NEW YORK

Investigators say a man with a gun approached a 65 year old woman early Thursday morning at the subway station at Baychester and Tillotson Avenues in the Bronx and demanded money.

He then hit her in the head with the weapon and ran away with her pocketbook.

The woman was treated and released for a head injury at Saint Barnabas Hospital.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, 5'6" tall, weighing 200-240 pounds wearing a baseball hat with a gold sticker on the visor, a brown hooded sweatshirt, brown pants and sneakers.
