There were subway delays Monday morning after a man threatening to jump from an elevated subway station in Brooklyn was tackled by police officers.

The man walked to the end of the ledge of the 18th Avenue Station just after 6 a.m. He stood at the edge for at least a half hour, threatening to jump.

Police closed the intersection of 18th Avenue and 86th Street below, as specialized NYPD officers slowly approached the man.

They tackled him and took him into custody.

Subway service was restored shortly after the incident.
