A bee handler was called to round up a Manhattan parking garage colony after a family's car was surrounded by a swarm.

The Daily News says the swarm trapped a couple and their child in their vehicle as they tried to pull out of a West Side parking garage on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters rescued the family unharmed.

Bee handler Anthony Planakis says the hive was about 100 yards from the vehicle.

He removed the insects and took them to an apiary at his Queens home.
