Police responded to a municipal parking lot on Second Street at around 8 p.m., after getting a report of an assault victim.
They found Luis Tochihuitl lying on the ground near an entrance to the lot with a stab wound to the chest.
He was taken to Kimball Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to witnesses, a Hispanic male known to call himself "El Cholito" was involved in an altercation that led to the stabbing.
Investigators are still searching for him.
