Vicious attack on Huntington school bus

HUNTINGTON STATION

"I went to the hospital. I have a mild concussion, headaches coming back and forth," said Meus.

The girl rabbed her by the hair, even pulling some of it out.

Meus' mother, Myriam Meleance is now planning to sue the Huntington Union Free School District as well as the bus company, Huntington Coach Corporation for her daughter's physical and emotional damages. Meleance says the bus driver didn't do anything to stop the fight two weeks ago and the school should have had a staff member on the bus.

"I was not even able to watch the video and I'm still upset angry about it," said Meleance.

"We can't take away what's happened to her, but if we can get her money that might make her feel better, feel stronger," said Attorney Steven Ewall.

The school district's assistant superintendent said that the district has no comment at this point.

Meus says she wants the girl to learn her lesson, so she doesn't do this again to other kids.
