Explosion at construction site injures workers

Two workers suffered injuries after an explosion at a construction site in Lower Manhattan.

The small blast occurred around 10:30 a.m. at 15th Street and 10th Avenue, right below the High Line.

According to officials, a gas tank was being removed from the ground when the explosion occurred.

A gas station used to be based at that location.

The injuries to the workers were described as not life-threatening.
