Mickey Mantle's closes after two decades

On Monday night, the tables were set at Mickey Mantle's, and all of the great pictures were still on the walls ready to greet the customers.

However, on Tuesday, after twenty four years, the beer taps at Mantle's are dry, the lights are off, and the plaque that bore the name and likeness of one of the greatest Yankees ever is gone.

Mickey Mantle's on Central Park is closed up tight.

Some tourists were reading the sign on the door that explained the restaurant was in bankruptcy, a simmering dispute between landlord and tenant that apparently now has little hope of a resolution.

Reviews of the restaurant had declined in recent years, many complaining the prices were too high and the food was not always great.
