Police investigating murder mystery in the Bronx

Police are investigating a bizarre murder mystery in the Bronx.

A man was found dead in his Claremont apartment, and whoever killed him left behind a disturbing message.

The victim is identified 75-year-old Joe Fisher, a handyman and painter who reportedly survived three heart attacks only to become the victim of this brutal crime.

Erminia Acevedo said that she heard a boom while sitting in her living room, and then remembers hearing footsteps above and then another loud bang. She lives right below the fourth floor apartment where police found Fisher dead on the kitchen floor.

"Whoever did this is a sick person. The person, he or she, should reveal themselves because what comes around goes around," Carmen Velez said.

Police say it appears he had been beaten in the head and body and whoever did this, used red lipstick to write an obscene message on his chest.

"I'm just sorry he's not here no more. A 75 year old, who would hurt him?" Delionel Dekind said.

That's a question many here want answered and surveillance cameras just may have captured the killer's mage.

"He's a nice guy. I'd go fishing a lot and bring him back fish. I came home yesterday and I was surprised to see the door open and he was deceased," Dekind said.

That was Wednesday. When Ermiinia heard that loud bang earlier this week, she figured Joe had fallen again. Neighbors say he had heart problems, wore a pacemaker and could barely climb the stairs to his apartment.

Everyone says Joe was a hard working man who did odd jobs in the neighborhood and had lived in the building for more than 30 years.

"Never bothered anybody, never stand out here for a long, I would see him talk to a lot of people who are here because he was here for a long time," Tito Ferrer said.
