Students accused of throwing trash in 9/11 Memorial pool

NEW YORK

Now, there is an investigation into exactly who is responsible and what to do about it.

The spokesperson for the 9/11 Memorial site confirms that the field trip group from JHS 292 in East New York was thrown out for throwing garbage in the northern pool.

Also, one student had three loose bullets in his pocket that were picked up by the metal detector on the way in.

"This was extremely inappropriate behavior by a small group of students," the spokesperson said.

At the school, parents and students were all smiles after graduation, until asked about the field trip. They said there should've been more supervision.

The principal of the school sent a letter of apology to the museum.
