Critics say the new home of the Brooklyn Nets will treat fans more like criminals.

The head of security for the Barclays Center says walk-through metal detectors have been installed.

And everyone entering the arena for NBA games, concerts and special events will have to go through them.

Anyone who sets off lights will then be subject to patdowns. There will also be game-day bag inspections.

No other sports arena in the Tri-State Area regularly uses metal detectors.

The Barclays Center is set to open on September 28 with a Jay-Z concert.
