The upscale department store chain has signed a deal to open a 300,000-square foot store on the north side of 57th Street.
It will take up the first seven stories of a new skyscraper, just east of Broadway.
The store will be just a block from the Time Warner Center shops in Columbus Circle.
Nordstrom executives have reportedly been scouring Manhattan for more than a decade looking for a suitable flagship site.
