Cops: Suspect in girlfriend murder may be in Florida

June 28, 2012 3:42:40 AM PDT
Police in Queens say the man suspected of murdering his girlfriend may have run off to Florida.

The NYPD says 27-year-old Danielle Thomas was beaten to death in her apartment in Astoria on Tuesday night.

Earlier this month, 33-year-old Jason Bohn was charged with assaulting the victim, who obtained an order of protection.

Police say they heard Bohn threaten Thomas in a cell phone call while she was at the station house reporting the attack.

The manhunt for Bohn continues.
