Sources say a man walked into the casino on Friday afternoon and approached one of the cashiers. He passed a note demanding money and then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash. No weapon was displayed.
Detectives are looking through the casino's surveillance system for any video that shows the robbery or the suspect. Right now he is only described as a Hispanic man.
A spokeswoman for the casino says that Resorts World is working with the NYPD to investigate.
The robbery comes a week after Resorts said it made more in slot machine revenue in the month of May than any other casino in the county, raking in $57.5 million.
