The victim, 35-year-old Souvann Hunter, was stabbed in the head inside the Hot Millions bodega on Soundview Avenue on Sunday, June 24.
Hunter, of New Rochelle, died the next day at Jacobi Hospital.
Investigators have identified the suspect as 27-year-old Omar Cepeda. He is approximately 6'5 and 280 pounds.
The two men apparently had an ongoing dispute that turned violent, officials said.
