The fire started around 5:11 p.m. and quickly spread to two neighboring buildings.
Authorities say 170 firefighters worked for 90 minutes to bring the flames under control. Fifteen firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion, smoke inhalation and dehydration. Three civilians were also injured.
Two of the buildings were more seriously damaged than the other.
Firefighters rescued a 90-year-old woman out of one home.
