Surveillance video released of Bronx rape suspect

NEW YORK

The video shows the suspect who police say attacked a 33-year old woman Wednesday morning in her hotel room.

The victim says she had asked the man for directions while riding on the train at East 14th Street and Union Square on her way to the hotel.

Police say he followed her to her room and raped her.

The suspect is described as black male, approximately 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray Chicago Bulls hat, white T-shirt and red shorts. He has a a tattoo of the name "Tiffany" on his left forearm and a tattoo of a scorpion and the name "Ivan" on his right shoulder/biceps.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
