The incident happened around 10 p.m. in Sunnyside.
Police say a 37-year-old Roger Hernandez was riding his bike when he was hit by a dark-colored sedan at Greenpoint Avenue and 39th Place.
He was carrying a bouquet of flowers at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eyewitnesses say the driver was swerving before he hit struck Hernandez.
Police say 25-year-old Alex Batista is now under arrest, accused of driving drunk.
