Suspect steals women's wallets as they board bus

BRONX

In surveillance video, you can see the suspect taking the wallets from their bags.

The thefts happened on April 26 and again last Saturday, July 14, as the women were boarding the /*Bronx*/ 12 bus at Fordham Road and Webster Avenue.

As they boarded the bus, the suspect reached into their pocketbooks and removed their wallets.

The suspect then went to the subway station and purchased Metro Cards with the stolen credit cards.

There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 50s, 5'11" tall with salt and pepper hair.

Anyone with information in regards to either of these grand larcenies is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
