Third arrest made in Wyckoff schoolyard beating

WYCKOFF

Bail was set at $100,000 for 20-year-old Daniel Chaupiz of Wyckoff and 25-year-old Samer Saleh of Waldwick, who are charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

They remained jailed Saturday along with Chaupiz's girlfriend, 19-year-old Wyckoff resident Margaux Tocci, who is charged with robbery and theft. Her bail was set at $50,000.

Wyckoff police say Chaupiz and Saleh beat the victim with a baseball bat and pipe on Thursday night.

They say Tocci witnessed the attack and drove off with Chaupiz and Saleh after they took the victim's cash and smashed his cellphone.

The victim was treated at a hospital for head injuries and later released.
