When they arrived, they encountered a man in a hallway with a knife, and ordered him to drop the weapon.
The officers then fired at the suspect after he charged at them.
The suspect was shot and taken to a local hopsital for treatment, where he remains in guarded condition.
Prior to the officers arriving, he had stabbed and slashed two people inside the residence.
They were also taken to the hospital where they are being treated. Their condition is currently unknown.
The exact relationship of the suspect and the victims is under investigation.
