Police on Long Island are looking for two suspects on bikes who robbed a 14-year-old boy after threatening him with a pocket knife and punching him.

Nassau County police say the incident occurred at 6:20 p.m. Sunday on Dutch Broadway in Elmont. The victim was riding his bike with a friend who was walking beside him.

The suspects blocked their path as the boys were leaving the Dutch Broadway Elementary School yard.

Police say the suspects demanded that the boy turn over his bike and knapsack. When he refused, police say, one of the suspects pulled out the pocket knife and punched the teen in the eye. The suspects then grabbed the knapsack containing a smartphone and cash and fled on their bicycles.

The 14-year-old boy refused medical attention.
