The video shows the man burglarizing a home on East 11th Street near Avenue A around 3:30 p.m. Monday.
The thief crouches down to pick up an item next to a guitar, but he puts it back before wandering around.
The man stole the tenant's iPad, watch and wallet, stuffing them into a multi-colored knapsack.
The suspect is described as a white male with short hair, glasses, purple T-shirt, plaid shorts and white sneakers.
