Suspect identified in murder of bouncer in New Jersey

Authorities in Essex County say they are looking for Nolvin Garcia, 24, of Orange in the murder of Jacques Nelson.

Nelson, 32, of Orange, was employed as a bouncer at Misty's Restaurant and Bar located at 277 Main Street in West Orange. He was shot and killed in the pre-dawn hours on Monday when he tried to break up a fight in the parking lot of the establishment.

The shooter has been identified as Nolvin Garcia. He has been charged with murder and weapons offenses. Bail was set at $750,000.

Garcia, who remains at-large, is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Essex County Prosecutor's Office at 1-877-847-7432.

Jacques Nelson was born in Haiti and came to the U.S. when he was 19. He has two children who live in the U.S. and two who live in Haiti.
