The 30th annual Dominican Day Parade brought about large crowds that lead to disorder on the Upper West Side Sunday afternoon.

The colorful parade marched up 6th Avenue from 36th to 52nd Street. Following the parade, large crowds gathered on Broadway between 65th St. and 72nd St.

The NYPD responded and dispersed the rowdy crowds. There were 11 arrests in total, including two for criminal possession of a weapon.

One person was taken to Roosevelt Hospital with unknown injuries.

About half a million people were out there to watch the ten thousand people who participated in the parade - including marching bands, dancers, floats and politicians.
