Entertainment reporter Sandy Kenyon says the dog days of summer are almost upon us, which are those days when Hollywood studios let the blockbusters play out at the box office.
But there's one last weekend of big new movies left, and the producers of a new family film are looking to get a jump on the competition by releasing their film a bit eariler.
