The incident happened just before midnight on July 29 on Greene Street in Ridgewood.
Police say 40-year-old Joshua Robles assaulted and robbed the 20-year-old victim at gunpoint.
Robles then fled with property in an unknown direction. Minor injuries were reported at the incident.
Robles is described as being 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
