Surveillance released of Westbury bank robber

Police investigating a bank robbery on Long Island have released surveillance video of the suspect.

The incident happened at a Bank of America on Post Avenue in Westbury just before 2 p.m. Friday, August 24.

Police say the Hispanic suspect entered the bank, displayed a black handgun, threatened the use of a bomb and demanded money.

The teller complied, and the suspect exited the bank with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency onto Post Avenue, fleeing in an unknown direction.

Ten employees and five customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery.

No injuries were reported.
