Video released of women in so-called pigeon scam

NEW YORK

The NYPD has released the video of the suspected scammers.

Police say the 53-year-old victim was approached at Kings Highway and East 16th Street on August 28.

The women said they were willing to share a bag of money they had in exchange for an advance fee.

They got that fee, but all the victim got was a bank bag filled with worthless paper.

The ruse is reportedly called a pigeon scam.

The suspects are both black, in their 40s or 50s and were wearing dark-colored wigs and sunglasses.

They were last seen operating a dark-colored Audi sedan.
