Police cornered the suspect, who was wanted for a series of car thefts, at a Best Buy parking lot in /*Westbury*/ around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
He reportedly hit a patrol car and the officers as he tried to make a getaway.
An officer fired at the minivan, hitting the suspect's lower leg.
The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was hospitalized. His condition was not immediately known.
Police say two officers were also treated for minor injuries.
