On Monday, two MTA bus drivers were attacked by passengers in separate incidents just minutes apart in Brooklyn.
The transit workers union is up in arms after one of their drivers was stabbed with a syringe.
Police have released a sketch of the man who they say attacked 30-year-old Anthony Salandy while he was letting passengers off his B68 bus near Prospect Park.
He says he felt the man stab him in the shoulder, and then saw the man drop the syringe on the ground before picking it up and running.
It was only minutes later that a female bus driver was attacked by a passenger on the B35.
And these aren't the only incidents.
Last week, a bus driver in the Bronx was savagely beaten by a passenger.
The MTA says workers have installed 650 cameras and another 650 partitions on buses so far. They will also be doubling the number of security to patrol buses and work in tandem with the NYPD.
