Surveillance video released of Harlem armed robber

The NYPD has released surveillance video that captured an armed robber forcing his victim through the streets of East Harlem.

Police say the suspect robbed a woman Tuesday night, threatening her with a gun then forcing her to take money out of an ATM at a nearby store.

The incident started around 7:45 p.m., when the suspect put the 31-year-old victim in a choke hold in the lobby of her apartment building.

The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 35 years old, about 5-foot-7 and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
