Times Square subway scare result of a hoax

NEW YORK

Charges are pending against the person who left the suitcase in the Times Square station.

The suspect is 24 year old Said Aadim, who claims he is from Morocco. He told investigators he is homeless and destitute.

According to investigators, he said he attempted to obtain assistance in the U.S., and now wants to return to Morocco, but doesn't have money for the ticket.

He admitted to leaving the luggage in the subway system and making numerous 911 calls alerting police to the luggage. Responding police found three suitcases in the subway.

The note found with the suitcases read "I'll be there next time," according to investigators. They also found drawings depicting scenes from Sept. 11th.

The Times Square subway station was closed for more nearly two hours as police investigated. It was reopened just before 11 p.m.
