Meanwhile, new details are emerging about the chilling roadside rampage.
The suspected gunman, ex-convict /*Darrell Fuller*/, apparently made a desperate bid to create an alibi right after he allegedly shot /*Officer Arthur Lopez*/ and /*Ramond Facey*/ on the Cross Island Expressway. Now, detectives are questioning someone else, as well.
Fuller was in court Thursday after being transported from Jamaica Hospital to the Nassau County jail by a heavily armed police escort. He was reportedly hospitalized for self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Police officers packed the courtroom for the arraignment, as the colleagues of ESU Officer Lopez tried to console each other after the heartbreaking incident.
"This suspect doesn't deserve to be on the same planet as Artie lopez, and unfortunately the circumstances are reversed," Nassau County Lieutenant Adam Scheiner said. "Artie's gone, and there's nothing more we can do about that. But hopefully justice will be served and this person should never get out again."
Investigators say that cops pulled Fuller over because they believed he was involved in a hit and run. Fuller allegedly shot and killed Lopez, then approached the 52-year-old Facey and shot him in the head as he stole his car.
"He didn't deserve to die like this," wife June Facey said. "He's a sweet wonderful person. He's the last good man that God had made and I got him. I loved my husband. He was a special person, he was a family man."
Police say Fuller contacted a friend after the incident in an attempt to concoct an alibi. That friend is being questioned and reportedly had two guns in his car when police caught up with him. Fuller served four years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder in 2005.
A funeral for Lopez is planned for Saturday.
/*Gerald Williams*/ is the second person arrested in the Nassau County officer killed case.
Williams is believed to have given Darrell Fuller two guns that were possibly used in the murders. The weapons were believed to have been later found in his car.
