Family, friends and neighbors gathered at the intersection in Flatbush where 23-year old Jason Williams was hit by an SUV on November 18th.
The driver struck Williams and did not stop.
He died at the hospital a short time later.
People in the community want the driver off the street.
"The vehicle hit him and just kept going," said community advocate Tony Herbert.
"I don't know if it was intended, don't know if this person just didn't know how to drive, or the person just didn't see him.
"But at the end of the day, they left, and that's illegal in our community, in our society, and that person must go to jail."
Witnesses said Williams was running along Nostrand Avenue at about 3:40 a.m. when he was struck by a red SUV.
Police have been looking over surveillance footage from a nearby McDonald's in search of clues that would help them identify the driver.
