Friday is sentencing day for a Long Island man convicted in the brutal beating of a mentally-challenged man.

Brian Karris, 36, faces up to 15 years in prison for the hate crime.

Karris admits punching 47-year-old Joseph King and kicking him into unconsciousness at a bus stop in Port Jefferson in June of 2010.

Karris told the judge he targeted King because he is African-American and disabled.
