3 injured in turbulence aboard O'Hare-bound flight

A spokesperson from the Department of Aviation says American Eagle Flight 3720 from New Orleans to Chicago landed with several people with injuries at 9:31 a.m. The Bombardier CRJ-700 hit turbulence upon its descent between 31,000 and 29,000 feet, Department of Aviation spokesperson Mary Frances Fagan said.

Three people were injured, complaining of head injuries; only one was taken to the hospital.

The flight was carrying 26 passengers and four crew members.
