Police have two men in custody involved in the nearly fatal beating of a teacher in Greenwich Village, and they continue to search for at least four more.

The pair of suspects are in court Friday in the vicious attack, which was caught on video.

The incident happened early Sunday morning on MacDougal Street.

The victim was 24-year-old Kevin McCarron, of Massachusetts. He was beaten with a tire iron and a baseball bat and suffered a fractured skull.

Police say it all started after an argument, possibly because McCarron bumped into a stranger on the street.
