Two suspects wanted in 15 business robberies

NEW YORK

In each incident, the two masked suspects enter the businesses, display firearms and removed property.

Fahad Butt was working the register when his store in Springfield Gardens was robbed twice in the last month. Police believe it was by the same gunman.

Authorities released surveillance video of two armed robbers believed to have hit at least 13 stores in Queens in the last three months.

In some cases they rob the customers as well as the cash register.

Police also released video of a woman who tried to make a purchase Eyewitness News is told with Fahad's stolen credit card taking during the last hold up.

The cycle of violence has taken a brutal toll on his hardworking Pakistani family.

Beyond this most recent string of robberies, another family member six years ago was killed in this same store during another robbery.

His murderer was never caught.

Bullet holes in the ceiling are a constant reminder of the dangers of serving a community.

Just how much more can this family take?

Fortunately, in each of the incidents that police have connected so far there were no reported injuries.

Incident #1 - On Thursday, November 29, 2012 at approximately 5:40 p.m., the suspects entered 131-07 Farmers Blvd (Gulf gas station) and removed cash. The suspects fled north bound on Farmers Blvd. on foot.

Incident #2 - On Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at approximately 6:00 p.m., the suspects entered 197-18 Hillside Ave (Quick Script Pharmacy), displayed firearms and ordered two customers to lie on the floor. The suspects removed property from the two customers as well as cash from the store register.

Incident #3 - On Monday, December 10, 2012 at approximately 4:22 p.m., the suspects entered 79-01 Main Street (Norden Drugs Rajani Inc) and removed cash and a cell phone.

Incident #4 - On Saturday, December 15, 2012 at approximately 2:45 p.m., the suspects entered 134-07 230 Street (Total Wireless), demanded all customers to lie down on the floor. One suspect removed cash from a customer and the other suspect removed cash from the store cash registers. The suspects fled south on 230 Street.

Incident #5 - On Monday, December 17, 2012 at approximately 5:16 p.m. the suspects entered 222-16 144 Avenue (Great Supermarket), displayed firearms and removed cash from the store register. The suspects fled on foot eastbound on 144th Avenue.

Incident #6 - On Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at approximately 8:13 p.m. the suspect entered 133-44 150 Street (Gulf Gas Station), displayed a firearm and demanded cash.

Incident#7 - On Monday, December 24, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m. the suspect entered 145-36 Rockaway Boulevard (99 Cent Store) displayed a firearm and demanded cash. The victim complied, and the suspect fled.

Incident#8 - On Monday, December 31, 2012 at approximately 6:40 p.m. the suspects entered 154-66 71 Avenue (Gas Sale). Suspect #1 displayed a firearm and Suspect #2 removed cash. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Incident#9 - On Monday, December 31, 2012 at approximately 8:06 p.m., the suspects entered 70-11 45 Avenue (Bodega). Suspect #1 displayed a firearm and Suspect #2 removed cash and property. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Incident#10- On Monday, January 7, 2013 at approximately 7:35 p.m., the suspect entered 205-20 Jamaica Avenue (T-Mobile Store) and demanded cash and property. The victims complied, and the suspect fled.

Incident#11 - On Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the suspect entered 222-16 144 Avenue (Great Big Supermarket), displayed a firearm and demanded cash and property. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the location.

Incident#12 - On Friday, January 18, 2013 at approximately 7:05 p.m., the suspect entered 205-02 Hillside Avenue (Boost Mobile Store), displayed a firearm and demanded cash. The victim complied, and the suspect fled.

Incident#13 - On Friday, January 18, 2013 at approximately 8:35 p.m., the suspect entered 145-36 Rockaway Boulevard (Deal 99 Cent Store), displayed a firearm and demanded cash. The victim complied, and the suspect fled.

Incident #14 - On Sunday, January 20, 2013 at approximately 8:00 p.m., the suspects entered 228-20 Merrick Blvd (Merrick Mobile Gas Station), with both suspects displaying firearms (Suspect #1 displays a black handgun and suspect #2 displays a silver handgun), and demanded cash. The suspect removed cash from the register and both fled the location.

Incident #15- On Sunday, January 20, 2013 at approximately 8:40 p.m., the aforementioned suspects entered 165-01 Hillside Avenue (Hillside Mobile Gas Station), with both suspects again displaying handguns and demanding money from the register. The victim (employee of the establishment) complied, and the suspects produced a black plastic bag and remove cash from the register, before fleeing the location.

Suspect # 1 is described as a black or Hispanic man, wearing dark clothing, glasses, a Yankee baseball hat, and a partial mask.

Suspect #2 is described as a black or Hispanic man, wearing a black leather jacket, dark clothing, a black face mask, and a black skull cap.
