Small plane with two people crashes into Hudson

YONKERS

A 43-year-man and a 39-year-old woman, who were both wearing life vests, were pulled out of the water, and sent to the Jacobi Medical Center. They are currently listed as being in fair condition.

The plane fully submerged in the water, and is believed to be 20 yards out into the waterway.

According to the FAA, the aircraft is a Piper PA-32 and was a fixed-wing single engine.

The flight was flying under Visual Flight Rules, and not receiving Air Traffic Control Services.

The plane departed from Trenton-Robbinsville Airport in Robbinsville New Jersey.

There is still no word on what caused the crash.
